                                              MEDICAL SECRETARY

Secretarial training can be a stepping-stone toward an exciting career working for doctors,  hospitals, and

Become a highly skilled Medical secretary providing clerical and administrative support to medical staff in

Medical Secretaries provide different job skills for many different practices. Good typing and word

                    MEDICAL CLAIM PREPARATION and TRANSMISSIONS

This is a continued part from insurance and billing.  It is recommended to take the insurance and billing
program before taking the claims section.  All three sections go together.

After all the documentation, superbills, encounter forms, reports, and necessary information has been
processed, checked for accuracy, and entered into the computer a claim needs to be created to bill the
insurance companies. This the last step for reimbursements from insurance companies. It is vital that the
claims department has a very good knowledge in processing claims.  All codes and documentation has
been verified and corrected before claims can be submitted.  After the claim has been submitted to the
insurance company, follow up needs to be checked for reimbursements or any rejections.
