A CPC-H is an individual who must have two years on the job coding experience and have achieved a measurable level of
knowledge and expertise in coding of services, procedures and diagnoses for outpatient facilities.
CPC-H is for hospital certification.


Prerequisites:
Medical Terminology, Anatomy, & Physiology (For Coding Specialist) and Medical Coding Specialist is required before
taking any national coding test or exam. Some exams require on the job coding experience before taking an exam.
It is recommended taking the exam no later then three months after completing your courses with SESCD.
